DiskTree is coming soon · Purchases and downloads are not open

Terms of Use · Updated 15 October 2026

Know what you’re buying.

Scanning is free. In-app cleanup is a one-time purchase. These terms explain the website, the app and the commercial activation.

Coming soon: purchases and public downloads are not available. The purchase terms below describe the offer that will apply when sales open; this page does not take a payment or create a purchase.

Who provides DiskTree

DiskTree is operated by Muhammad Mohsin Rafi, an individual seller based in Pakistan.

“DiskTree”, “we” and “us” refer to the publisher identified above. DiskTree is a product name; it is not presented as a separately registered company. Contact support@disktree.app for product, licence or privacy questions.

The Mac licence

US$14.99. One-time purchase. No subscription. One commercial licence covers up to two Macs used by the same purchaser, for personal and professional work. It does not include a Windows entitlement. Applicable taxes and the final amount will be shown in checkout before payment.

Your purchased version 1.x does not expire. Updates within version 1.x are included. Future major versions may be offered as optional paid upgrades; declining an upgrade does not end your existing v1.x licence. This does not promise support for every future macOS release or lifetime support.

Scanning, exploring, real file names and details, Finder reveal, marking and reviewing a selection are free, without scan quotas or time limits. There is no fully unlocked timed trial. Commercial activation unlocks the native in-app Move to Trash action after review and confirmation.

Activation and moving to another Mac

A purchase key activates the paid feature while you are online. No DiskTree account is required. After successful activation, your purchased version works offline without recurring licence check-ins.

Keep your key and private recovery links to yourself. The two-Mac allowance is for Macs used by you, not a shared key for other purchasers. To replace a Mac, deactivate its slot while online or use purchase-email recovery, then activate the replacement. Activation, recovery and releasing a slot require the service to be available.

A completed full refund ends the associated commercial entitlement and prevents new activation with that key. Stop using its paid activation after a refund. Offline copies cannot be remotely erased; releasing a slot or refunding a purchase does not delete files from a Mac.

Payment, delivery and refunds

When purchasing opens, our direct order process will be provided by Paddle as our online reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles order-related customer service, returns, the payment transaction and receipt under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. DiskTree support answers product and licence questions. These DiskTree terms describe use of the product and its commercial licence.

A purchase key is issued only after payment has been verified. It will be available through the private purchase result and transactional email. The installer is free to download when a customer release is available; possession of the installer alone does not activate the paid feature.

Direct DiskTree purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee. The guarantee adds to any rights you have under applicable law. Nothing on this page excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Use DiskTree with care

Only scan or change files you are entitled to access. Review the paths and maintain backups before moving anything. A marked folder includes its contents. Synced changes can propagate to other devices, and files used by applications may be important even when their names look unfamiliar.

DiskTree provides native Move to Trash, not permanent deletion or automatic Trash emptying. Trash usually continues to occupy disk space. Size estimates and changes in available space are not a promise of bytes recovered. DiskTree is not a backup or recovery service. See cleanup and restoration guidance.

Do not use the website or licensing service to access another person’s purchase, evade activation limits, or disrupt the service. These service restrictions do not narrow rights granted by an applicable open-source licence.

Open-source software

DiskTree is an independently modified distribution of tobi/disktree, copyright © 2026 Tobi Lütke, distributed under the MIT licence. The upstream licence and notices are retained. This product is not endorsed by the upstream author.

Open-source components remain governed by their own licences. These commercial activation terms do not take away rights those licences grant, including rights to use, modify or redistribute covered source. The commercial purchase covers the offer and activation service described above. The application distribution includes its applicable licence and attribution notices.

Questions and changes

Email support@disktree.app if a term is unclear or you need help. We will date changes to this page. An update to these terms will not by itself turn a purchased perpetual v1.x licence into a subscription or remove its included v1.x updates.

How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. Refund requests follow the Refund Policy.
